Out of all the books I’ve written, The Tale of the Vampire Bride remains my favorite. It was the hardest to write, and was my personal passion for years. It’s the book I wrote on and off for nearly ten years before I made the decision to finish it once and for all. It pre-dates the As The World Dies trilogy and is the first book I wrote as a mature writer. Everything else I’d written in my teens and wasn’t worth publishing. The Tale of the Vampire Bride was different. I knew it from the moment of conception to the the final words typed out on my screen.
I’m not sure what it is about Lady Glynis Wright, but I just love her mercurial personality and complicated ways. Nothing about her is easy, and she can change her mind on a pin. I just absolutely adore her and enjoy writing about her immensely.
This series has also been one of the hardest to self-publish. It takes a very long time to write each novel due to the research. Also, the books are written in a very different voice from my other works. I’m proud of both The Tale of the Vampire Bride and The Vengeance of the Vampire Bride. I am currently attempting to raise the funds to self-publish the third book, The Lament of the Vampire Bride.
It’s been a while since I self-published the first book, so I’m trying to spread the word to potential readers about the series. Sales will definitely help raise funds for the third book. To garner new interest, I’m offering the first book for FREE on Kindle for a limited time. I’m also holding a giveaway for an autographed copy of The Tale of the Vampire Bride paperback. If you’ve read the book, please consider leaving a review. Or if you’d like to read the book in the future, please mark as Want to Read on Goodreads.
