I kept meaning to post all week, but was distracted by writing the actual book. This was a very good week. I got quite a bit done, including the last bit of revision to the first part of the book. It’s much stronger now, and reads a lot cleaner. I’m very pleased with everything.
Basically, the first part of the book is Glynis dealing with the fallout of her actions. And it’s not pretty. At all. It also puts her “mortal” lifestyle in jeopardy, and she starts to seriously question whether or not she wants to keep up a mortal appearance to the world.
Up until this point, she’s been reacting to the world around her and the plots of others. Now is the time when she has to make some very hard choices about her life (unlife?).
It’s been fun exploring Glynis’s inner workings. She’s not much for introspection, but she’s finding it necessary to survive.
