As The World Dies Makes Screen Rant’s 11 Zombie Novels That Deserve The Walking Dead Treatment

123thefirstdaysI started writing As The World Dies ten years ago and it took two years to complete the online serial. Then came the self-publication in 2008, followed by it getting picked up by Tor and reissued in 2011. Though As The World Dies is ancient history to me, it’s brand new to those just discovering it. It’s always gratifying to hear from new readers that are enthralled with the story about Jenni & Katie escaping into the Texas Hill Country.

Whenever I’m notified that the books have been spotted on a “best of” list, I’m always excited. It’s a reminder that books can literally have a very long shelf life after a writer has moved on to new projects.

Therefore, I’m very excited to see As The World Dies on Screen Rant’s 11 Zombie Novels That Deserve The Walking Dead Treatment. As The World Dies clocks in at #4, after Jonathan Maberry’s Rot & Ruin, Peter Clines’s Ex-Heroes, and Mira Grant’s Feed. Fans have been clamoring for years for either a television show or film series, so it’s nice to see the trilogy acknowledged on this list. I don’t have control over whether or not the books ever hit the small or big screen, but I’m hoping the trilogy will one day.

In the meantime, it’s nice to see my books make yet another list with some truly great reads.

If you haven’t read the As The World Dies trilogy, you can read the first chapter for free!
